Simple and Sustainable Self-Care 10 Week Programme


Introduction: This ten-hour course is equivalent to QQI Level 5. It is a self-development programme focusing on stress management. As habits take time and repetition to form, this programme is spread over 10 weeks (1 hour class x 10 weeks).

The goal is that participants can create their own self-care toolbox throughout the programme and can continue the practices that suit them when the course is complete.

The course covers a broad range of self-care strategies and stress-management techniques. Jennifer will base classes around the philosophy of Ashtanga Yoga (8 limbs or branches of yoga) and will include:

  • Yoga exercises for relaxation
  • Pranayama breathing exercises for stress-management
  • Mindfulness practices
  • Setting up your own personal meditation home-practice
  • Carving out ‘me time’ for your personalised self-care programme
  • Self-Massage
  • Aromatherapy for home-use
  • Therapeutic writing/journaling
